Claude Launcher processes profile data locally. The app does not send your profile data to Picktek or include advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs.

What the app stores

The launcher stores profile names, account email addresses when detected, folder locations, permission bookmarks, and running-process references on your Mac. It uses these records to organize and open profiles. Appearance and setup preferences are stored locally.

Copying an existing setup

When you choose to copy a setup and grant macOS folder access, the launcher reads saved Claude Desktop and Code files and creates a verified local copy. These files may include saved conversations, settings, and authentication data already stored by Claude. The launcher reads a small amount of account metadata to suggest a profile name. It does not upload these files to Picktek. The original files are retained.

Permissions and helper

The app requests folder access through macOS dialogs. After you approve setup, it installs a helper in its own Application Scripts folder to open Claude with the selected profile. The helper can launch Claude, find a running profile, and request a normal quit. You can turn off profile launching in Settings.

Your choices

You can rename profiles, change the destination for new profiles, or remove an entry from the launcher. Removing an entry retains its underlying files. You control those files in Finder. There is no Picktek account or remote profile database to delete.

Claude and Apple

Claude Desktop is a separate application. Your use of Claude, its accounts, and its services is governed by Anthropic’s terms and privacy policy. Apple handles App Store downloads and may provide diagnostics according to your Apple settings. Claude Launcher’s local-only processing does not describe how these separate services handle data.

This website and support

This support website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes ordinary web-request information to serve and protect the site. We have not added analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
